Personalisation

You can choose different themes (for example dark mode or other colour styles) to change the overall look of the app.

You can choose which “Add a book” options are shown when you tap Add. This helps you keep only the methods you actually use (for example search, barcode, or manual input).

Set a default language for book searches. Example: if you search for Harry Potter and your default search language is set to French, the app will prioritise French editions in the results.

You can set default values for newly added books, such as:

• Default media type (e-book, paperback, audiobook, etc.)
• Default tracking method per media type (for example: audiobooks tracked by episodes)

These defaults can still be changed manually when you add or edit a specific book.

Adjust how information is displayed across the app, for example:

• Date formats
• Pages shown as page numbers or percent
• Reading speed shown as words per minute, words per hour, etc.

Choose whether your screen is allowed to turn off while the reading timer is running, or whether it should stay awake to avoid interrupting timed tracking.

You can personalise the look and behaviour of your notes, for example:

• Font and background for the note editor
• Paragraph / formatting preferences
• Which note-adding methods are shown

You can enable notifications such as:

• Reminders to read (based on your preferred schedule)
• Reminders to return borrowed / loaned books
