Tracking

This page explains what you can track in Bookmory, where to enter it, and where to find your reading statistics.

What information can I add — and where can I find it?

Book Card

Life timer

On the front of the Book Card, you can start the life timer to track your reading time: tap play and Bookmory measures how long you read. When you end the session, you can also add your page progress afterwards (in hindsight), so the session updates both time and progress — without needing to open the full book view.

Manual page input

If you prefer manual tracking, open the book by tapping the Book Card. In the book view, you can tap your current page to change where you are in the book. If you want to, you can also enter the time spent reading manually.

Money spent

Inside the book view, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner to add expenses for that specific book. This lets you track how much you spent and can also include details such as where and when you bought it.

Lending & return dates

The same three-dot menu also lets you manage loans. You can record whether you lent the book to someone or borrowed it from someone, including names and a return date so you know exactly when it should come back.

Tags

Tags can be edited directly in the Book Card view (not via the three-dot menu). Some tags may also be added automatically depending on your settings. You can adjust these options via the account settings — see Personalisation.

Book status

In the three-dot menu, you can change a book’s status, for example: Currently reading, Plan to read, Paused, or DNF (Did Not Finish). When you update the status, Bookmory automatically places the book into the matching lists (for example Paused Books or DNF Books). Books marked as Currently reading appear as active Book Cards, while books you plan to read remain in your library/menu until you start them.

Book metadata

To edit basic book information such as author, page count, publisher, or publication date, open the three-dot menu and choose Edit book.

Achievements

Finished books overview

The Achievements section provides a complete overview of every book you have ever finished in the app. Each entry includes the rating you gave the book, making it easy to reflect on and compare your past reads.

Accessing book cards

From the Achievements list, you can tap on any finished book to open its Book Card directly. This allows you to revisit details such as your progress, notes, tags, and other tracked information related to that book.

How do I create series and collections?

Create a series

You can create series in two ways:

Option 1: Main menu → Series
Open the Series tab in the main menu, create a new series, and add books directly from there.

Option 2: Edit a book
Open a book’s Book Card, go to Edit book, and assign the book to an existing series. This way, books can be added to series individually as you build your library.

Create a collection

Collections are created from the main menu → Collections. Unlike series, collections are managed there only — so if you want to create a new collection, the Collections tab is the place to do it.
